Review considerations

How Food, Housing and Utility Plans Are Tested.

Perspective 01 · Food systems

Food Production Is Part of the Community Plan.

Large indoor farms can bring controlled production close to demand. Diverse outdoor acreage adds a different set of crops, livestock, ecological functions and livelihoods. The value of a combined approach depends on energy and water loads, distribution, land conditions and a capable operator. A rendering can show the relationship; a site plan must prove the fit.

Perspective 02 · Housing

Compare Housing Formats Against Cost, Code and Local Demand.

Affordable apartments, modular build-to-rent, tiny homes, barndominiums and other formats each have different land, code, maintenance and cost implications. The useful question is which mix meets local needs over time, connected to work, food, mobility and services.

Perspective 03 · Resources

Test Microgrids, Water Reuse and AWG Against Real Demand.

Microgrids, storage, water reuse and atmospheric water generation are evaluated against actual loads, local conditions, quality requirements and lifecycle costs. The strongest design may combine conventional systems with distributed capacity and carefully chosen supplemental technologies.
